where can i see a very atypical building in the south east of france?

The Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval in Hauterives is an excellent example of an atypical building in the south east of France. Built by postman Ferdinand Cheval over the course of 33 years, this unique structure is made of various rocks, shells, tiles, and other materials found on his daily mail route. Today, the Palais Idéal is a protected monument and a popular tourist destination.
