About
Guynard & the New Formule takes the stage at Balattou on October 18, 2026, for an evening dedicated to Congolese rumba — a genre recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2021.
The band is led by Guynard Mungu, known by his alias Inspecto, a singer, composer and choreographer who carries the torch of a richly influential tradition. Congolese rumba gave birth to both Soukous and Ndombolo, and the group draws on that deep well of cultural heritage.
In the spirit of legendary figures such as Tabu Ley Rocheleau and the iconic Zaiko Langa Langa, the ensemble delivers exuberant, joyful energy that puts the room in a festive mood while showcasing the vibrant cultural wealth of the two Congos.
The show runs from 21:00 to 23:00. Tickets are available via Le Point de Vente.
