A concert and lecture event at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Frederiksberg presenting newly discovered tapes and works by pioneering Danish electronic composer Else Marie Pade, introduced by researcher Katja Roos with a feminist perspective on the spaces EMP worked in.

This event centres on the ongoing discovery of unknown tapes by Else Marie Pade, which continue to shed new light on her compositional methods and musical thinking. Researcher Katja Roos opens the afternoon with a presentation drawn from her thesis on female pioneers of electronic music, focusing on the physical and ideological spaces in which EMP created her work between 1950 and 1980.

The programme features a selection of previously unknown tapes and compositions by EMP in which spatiality plays a defining role. The works are presented in an immersive setting that reflects the spatial dimensions EMP explored in her creative practice.

The event takes place in the New Hall at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Rosenørns Allé 22, Frederiksberg.
