About

The association Acanthe invites visitors aged 8 and up to discover the heritage of the Lattara archaeological site through a hands-on pottery workshop at the Henri-Prades museum, shaping objects inspired by ancient forms from the site.

As part of the 43rd edition of the European Heritage Days, the association Acanthe — from the master's programme in Heritage Promotion and Mediation at the University Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 — invites the public to discover the archaeological heritage of the Lattara site at the Henri-Prades museum.

The pottery workshop, open to participants aged 8 and over, lasts one hour and offers a creative, accessible introduction to ancient ceramic techniques. Participants shape an object inspired by the historical forms and decorations found at Lattara.

The session also raises awareness of the fragility of archaeological ceramics and the care required for their preservation. Each participant leaves with their own creation.
