About
Tribute to Buena Vista Social Club is a concert in Montreal, Canada, presented by Yordan Martinez & TCMS. The show pays homage to the Buena Vista Social Club, the Cuban musical project whose songs have travelled widely, and it is staged at Le Balcon, a venue in the city.
What to expect
This is a live music evening rather than a museum or sightseeing stop, so it suits anyone who enjoys listening to a band in a concert setting. Visitors who know the original recordings may enjoy hearing them reinterpreted, and those who are new to the music will find it a good introduction to the style.
Dates and times
The concert is offered on three evenings:
- November 13, starting at 8:30 p.m.
- January 22, starting at 8:30 p.m.
- February 19, starting at 8:30 p.m.
Because the same show runs on each of these dates, it is easy to fit around other plans, whichever of the three evenings falls within your stay.
Planning your visit
Le Balcon is the venue, so it is the place to check for the latest information on tickets and seating. The venue's website at en.lebalcon.ca is the best source for booking details. Montreal is a city with plenty to do before or after a concert, from its neighbourhoods and restaurants to its other cultural venues, so an evening performance can easily be part of a longer visit.
