About

L'accordéoniste Daniel Mille se joint au pianiste Yves Léveillé et à un ensemble de jazz complet pour un concert en première à la Salle Pauline-Julien à Sainte-Geneviève le 28 octobre 2026.

French accordionist Daniel Mille makes a much-anticipated return to Québec for a premiere performance at Salle Pauline-Julien, reuniting with the musicians who accompanied him during his recent sold-out appearances in the province. The concert marks a first at this venue and promises an evening rich in musical nuance and deep artistic chemistry.

The programme, titled "Après la pluie", brings together an accomplished ensemble: Daniel Mille on accordion, Yves Léveillé on piano, Frank Lozano on saxophone, Guy Boisvert on double bass, and Pierre Tanguay on drums. The concert offers a contemporary take on the accordion within a jazz framework, shaped by refined writing and a strong collective musicianship.

Mille's career has taken him from collaborations with Barbara, Jacques Higelin, Maurane, and Richard Bona to the celebrated Trintignant/Mille/Piazzolla project with actor Jean-Louis Trintignant. He was awarded the Victoire du Jazz for best instrumentalist of the year in 2006. His spring 2025 Québec dates, including two sold-out evenings in the Les Bourdonnements Jazz series at l'Outremont, confirmed the depth of his connection with local audiences.
