Daniel Lanthier (baroque oboe) and Marco Baronchelli (lute) join forces for an exploration of the late Baroque chamber repertoire, drawing on composers including Handel, Bach, Telemann, Platti, and the rarely programmed Zamboni. The programme features sonatas, suites, and partitas that showcase the natural interplay between melody and accompaniment across two distinct but complementary instruments.
The centrepiece of the evening is Bach's Suite in G minor, BWV 995 — originally a cello suite, here performed in the composer's own lute transcription — which crowns a demanding and generous programme.
