The Hanging Gardens of Babylon were an ancient wonder of the world, located in what is now Iraq. They were one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and were said to have been built by King Nebuchadnezzar II around 600 BC. The gardens were renowned for their lush and exotic plants, which were said to have been irrigated by a complex system of pumps and aqueducts.
