About
Brok & Gråd is an evening of interactive complaining, staged at Nørrebro Teater in Copenhagen. The show is hosted by Sofie Riise Nors and takes place on 3 February 2027. The performance is in Danish.
What happens on the night
Audience members write down their grievances anonymously on slips of paper. Nors then reads the notes aloud, so the room hears the small irritations and larger frustrations of the people sitting in it. The complaints are sorted into three categories: constructive, compassionate and unspoken. Toasts are raised along the way, and at the end every note is shredded in a shared ritual, followed by a final toast.
The idea behind it
The concept was developed by Sofie Riise Nors, Cecilie Nørgaard and Mette Mut within the feminist community Over Broen, which ran from 2021 to 2024. It is built on the simple act of saying what bothers you out loud, with others, and then letting it go.
