About
SuperFolk Song Circle: Ian Kelly and Guests is a concert evening in Montreal, Canada, held at the Outremont Theatre. Ian Kelly hosts the night and invites his guests to share the stage, in a chanson evening built around song.
What the evening is
The SuperFolk song circle is a relaxed, sociable kind of concert, where the host and visiting performers take turns singing and playing. Chanson, the French-language song tradition, gives the evening its character, so it suits listeners who enjoy songs close to the spoken word and a sense of company on stage.
When to go
The concert runs on three Thursdays:
- 3 December 2026
- 1 April 2027
- 20 May 2027
Where it takes place
The Outremont Theatre is in Montreal, a city where French and English traditions meet and where a music evening fits easily into a longer visit. Outremont is a residential district on the city's north side, so the theatre makes a pleasant base for an evening out, with the rest of Montreal close by for dinner or a walk before or after the show.
