About
The Backdoor Slammers bring 1950s-style rock 'n' roll to Charlie Scott's in Copenhagen, Denmark. The band plays a lively, danceable set that suits anyone who enjoys the sound of the period, whether you know the classics well or are just discovering them.
What to expect
- A set built for dancing, with a steady, upbeat energy
- A mix of deep cuts from the 1950s repertoire and the band's own original songs
- A small-venue atmosphere at a Copenhagen bar and music space
The programme moves between familiar rock 'n' roll material and less well-known numbers, so there is something for both longtime fans of the style and newcomers. The band's original songs sit alongside the older tunes, giving the evening a sense of continuity rather than a straight tribute.
Planning your visit
The concert takes place at Charlie Scott's, which hosts live music in the city. For details on dates, times and tickets, check the venue's live music page at charliescotts.dk. Arriving with a bit of time to spare is sensible at a popular venue, and if you plan to dance, it is worth choosing a spot near the floor early.
Copenhagen itself offers plenty to fill a day before or after the show, from its waterfront and old streets to its many cafés and restaurants, so an evening of live music fits easily into a wider visit to the city.
