About
In Copenhagen, the choir Konur gives a winter concert with a Lucia celebration at Thorvaldsens Museum, held as part of the museum's Thorvaldsen & Music series. The event takes place on 13 December at 20:00.
What to expect
This is a concert rather than a gallery visit. The programme centres on the voices of Konur, a choir, and on the traditional Lucia celebration that marks the winter season in Scandinavia. For many visitors, the evening offers a chance to hear music set within the museum's own surroundings.

Visiting Thorvaldsens Museum
Thorvaldsens Museum is the home of the work of the sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen and sits in the historic centre of Copenhagen, within walking distance of the city's main squares and the Royal Palace area. Attending a concert here lets you experience the building in the evening, when the focus shifts from displays to music. The museum's Thorvaldsen & Music series suggests that sound and the collection are meant to meet, so the concert suits those who enjoy combining art and music in one visit.
Planning your visit
Because this is a single evening event, it is worth checking the museum's event page before you travel, so you have the latest details on tickets and entry. Copenhagen is easy to explore on foot and by public transport, so an evening concert fits well into a longer stay in the city. The winter timing also makes it a natural choice for travellers who want a seasonal experience during their visit to Denmark.
