Christ Church Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, stands in the Wood Quay area of Dublin, Ireland, at Christchurch Place. It is the older of the city's two medieval cathedrals, with a foundation traditionally dated to around 1030, and it was rebuilt in stone from 1172.

What to see

  • Gothic architecture. The building's medieval Gothic design is the main draw for many visitors, and its interior rewards a slow walk.
  • The medieval crypt. The cathedral is known for its crypt, one of the older parts of the site and a distinct experience from the main church above.
