About

著名的巨石卡在两个悬崖面之间,位于Lysefjord上方984米处。这是一个热门但危险的拍照地点,需要进行具有挑战性的徒步。

Kjeragbolten, also known as the Kjerag Boulder, is a large boulder wedged between two cliff faces, lying 984 metres above the Lysefjord in Rogaland, Norway. It sits in the mountains above Lysebotn, a small settlement at the head of the fjord, and it is one of the best-known viewpoints in the region.

What the visit involves

Reaching the boulder means a demanding hike, and the route is not suited to every visitor. The terrain is steep and rocky, and the drop beside the stone is very great. Many people come to Kjeragbolten for the photograph, which is why it is so widely shared, but the spot is genuinely dangerous and should be approached with care and respect for the conditions.

Planning your trip

  • Allow a full day for the walk, and set out with plenty of daylight ahead of you.
  • Wear proper hiking footwear and carry warm layers, since the weather at height can change quickly.
  • Check conditions before you leave, particularly in late autumn, winter and spring, when snow and ice can make the path hazardous.
  • Tell someone where you are going and when you expect to return.

The surrounding area

Lysebotn is a small place, so it suits a visit built around the outdoors rather than town sights. The Lysefjord itself is the main draw, with its sheer granite walls rising straight from the water. For many travellers the boulder is one part of a wider trip into this dramatic landscape of fjord and mountain, where the view from above and the water far below make the whole area memorable.
