About

古老的地中海港口城市,现为Tel Aviv的一部分,以其历史悠久的老城区、艺术家聚集区和传统石砌建筑而闻名。

Jaffa is an ancient Mediterranean port city in Israel's Tel Aviv District, now part of greater Tel Aviv. It sits on a rocky headland just south of the modern city, and its long history as a harbour gives it a character quite different from the newer streets and towers that surround it.

Most visitors come for the Old City, where the lanes are built of traditional stone and wind up and down the slope toward the sea. The architecture is the main draw: low stone houses, arched doorways and quiet courtyards that reward a slow walk rather than a checklist. Because the area is compact, it is easy to explore on foot in a single visit.

Jaffa is also known for its artists' quarter, where studios, galleries and workshops occupy many of the old buildings. Browsing here feels informal and unhurried, and it is a good way to see work by local makers alongside the historic setting.

What to expect

  • A walkable old quarter of stone buildings and narrow streets
  • An artists' quarter with galleries and studios
  • Views and sea air from the harbour area
  • Easy access to the wider bustle of Tel Aviv, just to the north

Jaffa suits a visitor who enjoys wandering, looking at old architecture and spending time among artists' spaces. Combining a few hours here with time in central Tel Aviv gives a good contrast between the historic and the contemporary.
