About

Der zwölfthöchste Berg der Welt mit 8.051 Metern, gelegen an der Grenze zwischen Pakistan und China. Teil des Gasherbrum-Massivs.

Broad Peak is a mountain in the Karakoram Range of Gilgit-Baltistan, in northern Pakistan, rising on the border with China. At 8,051 metres it is the twelfth highest mountain in the world. It is also known as K3, and it forms part of the Gasherbrum massif, a cluster of high peaks that draws mountaineers from around the globe.

What kind of visit it makes

For most people, Broad Peak is a mountain to admire from a distance rather than a place to walk up. Its summit is among the highest on earth and is climbed only by experienced expeditions, which are organised with guides, permits and careful planning. Visitors interested in the peak usually come to see the high Karakoram landscape: glaciers, sharp ridges and wide valleys that change with the light.
