Lorenzo Colombo brings his artistic research to the New Hall at the Royal Danish Academy of Music on 28 October 2026, presenting immersive, interactive interpretations of works by Iannis Xenakis.
The programme centres on Xenakis' percussion classic Psappha and Komboi, both reimagined through interactive performance, alongside Herma — widely regarded as one of the most technically demanding pieces ever written for solo piano — presented here in a version for Disklavier.
The concert takes place within the academy's dedicated immersive audio space, which features a 3D surround sound system used primarily for training future sound engineers and composers. The field of immersive audio is developing rapidly, both technologically and artistically, with nearly every musical genre now exploring its possibilities.
