Lizzy McAlpine brings her intimate folk-indie sound to Poolen in Copenhagen for what will be her first-ever show in Denmark. The concert takes place on Tuesday 23 March, doors and show starting at 20:00.
Described by NME as "TikTok's favourite sad girl", McAlpine has earned praise from celebrated artists including Phoebe Bridgers and Finneas (Billie Eilish's brother and co-writer). Her songwriting weaves together folk, indie and singer-songwriter traditions into a distinctive and emotionally resonant style.
Born in 1999, McAlpine began her career uploading covers and originals to SoundCloud and YouTube before releasing her debut album Give Me a Minute in 2020. Her 2022 follow-up Five Seconds Flat broke through on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100, while the single "Ceilings" became a viral hit on TikTok.
The Copenhagen show arrives in support of Angel, her fourth studio album, freshly released. The record draws inspiration from the legendary 1970s Laurel Canyon scene — home to Joni Mitchell, The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash — alongside contemporary indie rock influences.
