Paul Banks and Martin Andersen bring their unique acoustic duo project to Bartof Café in Frederiksberg on 24 October 2026, performing in the blues, roots and vocal tradition.
The two musicians are the core of what was once MUSIKORKESTRET, a Danish ensemble that was the country's busiest orchestra in the early 1980s, performing around 250 concerts and festival appearances per year.
MUSIKORKESTRET was known for its virtuosic playing, bold collective improvisations, melodic songwriting, and an irresistible groove. The group performed with equal energy and joy on both the largest and smallest stages.
Today, Banks and Andersen continue as a live duo, with Paul Banks on vocals, guitar and mandolin, and Martin Andersen on violin. Their combination of acoustic instruments and broad audience appeal remains distinctive on the Danish music scene.
