About
Sabor 19 is a Montréal-based Latin orchestra formed in 2019 by two friends who crossed paths at a local salsa dance night. The name carries a double meaning: it references the year of the group's founding and pays tribute to the 19 boroughs of Montréal.
The ensemble brings together ten musicians from Haiti, Colombia, Mexico, Morocco, Turkey and Canada, creating a rich cultural blend at the heart of their sound. Their music is rooted in authentic, high-energy Latin rhythms with salsa as its backbone.
Over more than six years of performing, Sabor 19 has appeared at major festivals and stages including the Festival International Nuits d'Afrique in Montréal, Salsa on St. Clair in Toronto, Salsa Tremblant and the Plaines d'Abraham in Québec City. In 2025, the group released two original tracks available on Spotify and all major streaming platforms.
The concert takes place at Balattou, 4372 Boul. Saint-Laurent, Montréal, starting at 21:00. Tickets are available via Le Point de Vente.
