Concerto Copenhagen brings the musical world of Dresden in 1718 to life — a period when musical excellence was considered a matter of national prestige, and one of Europe's most celebrated orchestras was taking shape. The programme draws on the Baroque repertoire that defined the era.
Concerto Copenhagen has spent more than three decades exploring Baroque, Viennese Classical and early Romantic music with both historical rigour and artistic boldness. Under musical director Lars Ulrik Mortensen, the ensemble is widely regarded as an international leader in historically informed performance, breathing fresh relevance into centuries-old works for contemporary audiences.
