About

Station de montagne présentant une architecture coloniale française, un pont doré soutenu par des mains géantes, et des vues panoramiques accessibles par téléphérique.

Ba Na Hills is a mountain resort in Da Nang City, in central Vietnam. It sits in An Son Village, Hoa Ninh Commune, Hoa Vang District, and is also known as the Ba Na Tourist Resort. Visitors come for the setting as much as for the sights: a hill station high above the city, reached by cable car, with wide views over the surrounding land.

What to see

The resort is known for its French colonial architecture, which gives parts of the hilltop a distinctly European character. Among its best-known features is a golden bridge held up by a pair of giant stone hands, a spot that many visitors photograph as a highlight of the trip. The mix of old-world buildings and mountain scenery makes the walk around the site feel different from a typical city outing.

Getting there and what to expect

The main way up is by cable car, and the ride itself is part of the experience, since it offers panoramic views on the way up and over the hills. Once at the top, plan to spend a few hours wandering between the architecture, the viewpoints and the open-air areas. Because the site is on a mountain, the weather can change quickly, so a light layer and comfortable shoes are sensible.

Planning your visit

  • Allow a half day or more, including the cable car ride both ways.
  • Bring a camera for the golden bridge and the views.
  • Check ahead with the resort for current arrangements, using the contact number +84 236 3791 999.
  • Combine the trip with time in Da Nang City, which lies below the hills and offers its own beaches and streets to explore.

For visitors who enjoy scenic viewpoints, historic-style architecture and a change of pace from the coast, Ba Na Hills makes a memorable day trip from Da Nang.
